How can I stop or reduce the echo effect in my dining room ? Even while talking in that room, we notice the echo. I already have some furniture in that room.
Best Answer:
Adding a rug, curtains, or upholstered furniture would be the most obvious answer, Really, any "soft" things you could add to the room will absorb some of the sound and cut down on the echo.

Most anything that's soft will help. Rugs, tapestries, curtains, and paintings, all like they've said. You could even stick in some potted plants to cut down on the problem.
